Everest Base Camp Charity Trek  - 16 Days

Starting From

Trip Overview

Trekking through the beautiful Sherpa villages to the base of the highest mountain on the planet and the wonderful views of Valley, Mountain, and Khumbu icefall thoroughly makes this trek one of the world’s best hikes. Our Everest base camp Charity trek start in Lukla, follow the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay – the first mountaineers to ever summit Everest. Hiking in the shadow of the world’s top mountain, you will cross gorges, visit the Everest Memorial Ground and trek through the stunning Sherpa villages until you get Base Camp.

The Everest Base camp Charity Trek is the most serene and one of the famous treks of the Everest Region. It is an incredible trip to get introduced to the magical Khumbu Valley of Nepal. While hiking on through this trek, we visit stunning Buddhist Monasteries, beautiful Sherpa Mountain Villages, and High altitude pastures.

The trek will become harder when you go higher because of the altitude. However, the incredible views and support from our expert local Sherpa guide will spur you on to your destination. Arriving at Everest Base Camp will be a cheerful time and one to savor with your fellow trekkers. Upon your descent and flight back to Kathmandu, you can spend time discovering the chaotic, exotic, and historic capital. This high-altitude trek is not for the faint of heart, but our team of expert local guides and team will ensure safety is a priority.

This trip is set up for groups – you get together with your friends, coworkers, etc, let us know when you want to go and we design the trip completely for you (it’s not open to the public). Our previous groups have normally had one or two people doing the organizing and encouraging within their company or friend circle. We can help you with promotion, info, and ideas for fundraising – just ask.

Hike to Everest View Hotel, Khunde Village & return to Namche- approx. 5 hrs Lodge, all meals included

'Climb high, sleep low' is the mantra for good acclimatization. To aid acclimatization it is a good idea today too, at the very least, walk up the hill to the Park Headquarters and visit the interesting Sagarmatha National Park Museum. From here there are the first really good views of Everest and Ama Dablam - a wonderful panorama. If you are feeling energetic you might also make the worthwhile excursion to the Everest View Hotel, situated above the village of Khumjung.

Our expert local Sherpa guide will take you on an acclimatization hike up the slopes above the Everest views hotel. Constructed by the Japanese this stunningly located hotel with delightful views of Everest and Ama Dablam is a perfect place for a tea break. Continuing, we will also walk to the towns of Kunde and Khumjung set below Khumbila, the rocky peak sacred to all Sherpas.

In Kunde, we will visit the Edmund Hillary hospital, and if the time permits, we will also visit the monastery in Khumjumg, where we can witness the only Yeti skull in the world paying a small amount of fee. Afterward, we will return to the lodge for a tea break during the afternoon at leisure, after which you may choose to explore the town.

Namche Bazaar is situated between two ridges amidst the enormous peaks of the Khumbu and has a variety of lodges, teashops, and souvenir shops as well. Its sophisticated position seems to be developed enough to meet western standards, even at remote mountain outposts like this. The enterprising Sherpa folks hereabouts have learned a lot from the big expeditions that have passed this way. Said to be the ‘Las Vegas’ of the Khumbu, Namche is just the place to spend a rest day, acclimatizing to the new altitude before setting off towards Tengboche.

Accommodation & Meal

Facilities in the city: The facilities in Kathmandu and Pokhara, you have to stay 4-5 star hotels which are located centrally in Kathmandu city. We always use the best hotels in the city and trekking areas as much as possible. Keeping much of the original charm in these magnificent places that have been fitted according to traveler's choice. In the main season of Spring and october it is quite hard to find according to traveler's choice but we can manage if they already informed about their ideal hotel. Twin or single rooms are hard to manage in a high season.

Facilities in tea house: The lodge is very comfortable and appointed all over in Nepal. In mountainside and remote areas of Nepal, there are spread lots of small community that offers small tea house/lodge accommodations all over in Nepal such as Everest region, Annapurna region, Langtang region, Manaslu region, Kanchenjunga region, Upper Dolpo, Makalu region & Dhaulagiri region. We offer the best accommodation facilities where available teahouses run and operated by locals. Sometimes it is hard in the main crowed season of Nepal. We have to make a call and book the hotel.
